FOR THE KINGDOM WOMAN WHO KNOWS GOD CALLED HER TO BUILD THIS THING AND CANNOT FIGURE OUT WHY IT STILL ISN’T LAUNCHED…
You want your business to work.
You want sales on repeat. You want to be walking in the fullness of the promise God gave you for this thing.
But it’s not working. So you push harder at the selling, because that’s the part that feels like it counts.
Sister, I want to show you something that’s going to change how you see this whole season…
When Jesus launched His ministry, the “selling” part – where people got “converted” – was not the first step in the plan. It was step six. There were five steps before He ever converted a single person.
And here’s the part that’s going to get you…
You’ve probably already been doing steps one through five in your own journey to launch your online business. You’ve just never valued each of those steps properly, so you’ve never finished them properly, either.
That’s why getting launched (and getting step six – the sales – to work) in your business feels so hard. So, let’s fix that, shall we?

First, If God Said It, That Settles It
Before we get into the pattern, this truth needs to LIVE in you.
If God called you to build this business or this ministry, that’s a word over your life. And a word from God doesn’t come back void. That’s Isaiah 55:11, Sis.
I know what happens next, though. Because you’re a high-capacity, high-responsibility, high-productivity woman, and your brain goes straight to: if I’m called to it, then I should be able to do it myself.
That’s not humility talking, and it’s not grit, either. You know this. That thought bubbles up consistently because it’s the way you’ve handled everything else in your life. And I want you to know…
It’s this false belief that you have to figure it out all on your own that’s keeping you stuck.
Because Biblically speaking, you are “allowed” to get help. You are “allowed” to be apprenticed. In fact, this is the preferred Biblical method for learning something practical that we don’t really know how to do very well when we start.
Virtually every Kingdom builder in Scripture called to something BIG in the practical – think prophets, priests, and even kings – got run through a process with somebody showing them how to do it properly.
You do not have to rip this online business out of the ground alone, Sis.
Five Builders Who Almost Didn’t Make It
Every excuse you’ve got for why you can’t make this God-assignment work, somebody in Scripture already had it. And every one of them still got to the finish line.
Jonah was offended. He didn’t want to go to Nineveh because he couldn’t accept that God would show those people mercy. That offense delayed him and cost him dearly. If you’re offended that God called you to something bigger than what you can do on your own, look at Jonah before you go any further. Repent and get back on the road – willingly – to launching this business, Sis.
Noah was up against ignorance. It had never rained. There was no precedent, no proof, and people around him asking what on earth he was doing. He could have said that’s never going to happen, that can’t be God. Instead he picked up his tools and built. Ignorance is deciding to believe your eyes over what God said. But we’re called to walk by faith and not by sight.
Moses had self-doubt. God spoke to him out of a burning bush and he still had five excuses, and every one was about why he wasn’t the guy. If you’re sitting there thinking you’re not the girl for the job… Girl, you’re the girl for the job.
Gideon had no family history. The angel called him a mighty man of valor and he answered that he came from the smallest clan of the least tribe. And what was his first assignment? Go tear down the Asherah pole at his father’s house. Tear down the family history that’s arguing against your calling.
Abraham thought it was too late. He and Sarah tried to make it happen their own way and it didn’t work. And still God made him the father of many nations, exactly as He said.
Isaiah 60:22 says that when the time is right, the Lord will make it happen. So why are we stressed about how long it’s taking?
Because waiting on God is uncomfortable, and we want the comfort of control. But learning to trust His timing is one of the best skills an entrepreneur can build.
Say this with me: It hasn’t happened… yet.
Step One: A Word From God, and Someone Who Repeats It
Jesus had prophecies over His life going back centuries. And God still sent John the Baptist.
Look at what John did. He stood in the desert in front of the very people Jesus came to save and pointed at Him. Behold, the Lamb of God.
That’s a sponsor. Someone shouting you out before you’ve done anything. And also, someone agreeing with the Word of God for Jesus’ life.
Now hear what that person is actually for. They are not your fan girl. They are not your hype guy. They’re a repeater, an echo of what God already said over your life, because there will be days you can’t remember it yourself.
In the beginning, mine was my husband. He believed in me more than anyone on the planet, and that was enough.
Today I pay serious money to have a coach like that in my world, because I need that level of clarity and accountability in this season. But you don’t have to start there.
You just need someone who knows God and hears Him, is a few steps ahead of you on the journey of entrepreneurship in a similar space, and is willing to be an encourager and a mentor to you.
Step Two: A Wilderness Moment That Leads to a Win
Right after the Father speaks over Him, the Spirit drives Jesus into the wilderness. Forty days of fasting, and the enemy comes at His identity three separate times.
If you are the Son of God…
And every single time, Jesus answers with the word of God. Not with what He saw in Himself. Not with how He felt after forty days without food.
Then Luke 4 says He came out in the power of the Spirit. The wilderness didn’t drain Him. It prepared Him and sent Him out in power as He stepped into ministry.
Sister, this is the step nobody wants and everybody needs. The wilderness is the crucible. It’s the place of refinement and preparation.
And notice what I have not mentioned yet. No followers. No crowd gathering yet. No public posts or announcements.
Because the minute you start putting yourself out there, the enemy sends people to tear you down, and when the post gets no engagement you’ll start doing it to yourself.
If you haven’t won in the wilderness by keeping your mouth on the word of God, you’ll find yourself limping to the launch, at best.
Step Three: An Unwavering Identity Declaration in the Face of Rejection
So, Jesus comes out of the wilderness in power, walks into the synagogue in His hometown, and asks for the scroll of Isaiah 61.
He reads His identity out loud. The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me. And then He says it’s fulfilled today, in their hearing.
You’d think they’d celebrate. They rose up in wrath instead. The section is literally titled Jesus Rejected at Nazareth.
His hometown.
So when your sister tells you it’s not possible, when your auntie says that can’t happen, understand that you’re in good company.
My own mother once told me she’d prayed for so much better than this for me. This being ministry and entrepreneurship. She asked me to stop, to go back to the corporate job that was paying me nearly half a million a year, because she didn’t want to watch me suffer.
I told her I couldn’t. Because I had a word from God on my life, and I’d already been through the wilderness and come out with a win.
You have to be willing to speak the truth and not be moved when the room turns.
Step Four: Walk as the “Real Deal” Before Anyone Is Buying
This is the one most Kingdom women underestimate or shun, and it’s the reason steps five and six start to feel impossible.
Read the back half of Luke 4. Jesus is healing people. Casting out demons. Setting people free.
And He never once says now follow Me.
Go check it. He’s delivering the goods, in fullness, and there’s no ask attached to any of it. He doesn’t actively call the first disciple until chapter five.
That wasn’t performance. It wasn’t auditioning. It was the invitation before the invitation.
I know what your mind does with this. It says walking like the woman you’re becoming before anybody’s paying makes you either taken advantage of or a fraud. So, you shrink back and demonstrate your gifts to no one in the early days OR you cast your pearls before swine, giving everything away to everybody.
Both options are detrimental to what you’re building. And they both show a lack of faith on your part when it comes believing what God said about who you are and what you’re capable of.
Especially when you withhold in demonstrating your gifts and anointing in the early days when you are building your foundations. When you withhold, no one gets to see what you can actually do, how you can help them, or the transformation you can help them achieve. As a result, they can’t understand what your offer is or how it can serve them. So they walk away.
This is why testimonials have to show up on your sales page. Not to talk yourself up. People need to see you’re the real deal before they hand you money. This is why Jesus did miracles and healed people before asking them to follow Him.
Practically speaking, in the beginning, I did the work I’m doing now for a big discount, and for free, inside my church family for years. I learned how to steward my people well in that season, and it resulted in some beautiful wins I got to share on sales pages later on (with their permission, of course!). That’s building know, like and trust, and it’s an incredible opportunity to build confidence and to gather testimonials and case studies that will help you to sell at market once you’re ready to fully launch.
Step Five: Win Followers and Testimonials
Now Luke 5. Peter’s been fishing all night, caught nothing, and he’s already washed the nets and put them up. He’s done.
Jesus tells him to push out into the deep for a catch.
Peter says he’s the fisherman here and he already tried… nevertheless, at Your word.
Why nevertheless? Because he’d already seen. Step four had already happened in front of him. He was interested before he was committed.
So he goes out, and the catch is so big the nets start splitting.
That’s a result. Jesus got him results, and then Peter followed.
See how much easier step five is when steps one through four have done their work? You’re not chasing anybody. You’re just handing them the outcome you’ve already been demonstrating.
Step Six: Conversions
Luke 5:17. The paralytic. His friends tear apart a roof and lower him down, and Jesus sees their faith and tells the man his sins are forgiven.
That’s the first place in Luke where healing and conversion happen together.
And immediately the critics show up arguing about who has authority to forgive sins. That’s what happens at step six. You’ll get haters and detractors the moment conversions really start to flow.
But when people start following, start buying, start saying yes… even in small ways… that’s it. That’s a launch that has legs. Momentum comes next.
The passage ends with the crowd amazed, glorifying God, saying they’d seen extraordinary things that day. Some of them didn’t convert that day. It can take a hot minute.
Which is exactly why you have to get fully launched, Sister. There has to be something out there for people to consider and eventually buy.
Step Six: Six Steps. In Order.
- A word from God over your life, and someone who repeats it back to you
- A wilderness moment that leads to a win
- An unwavering identity declaration in the face of rejection
- Walking as the real deal before anyone is buying
- Winning followers and testimonials
- Conversions
That’s it. That’s how Jesus launched.
You’ve likely been doing several of these already. You just haven’t understood the value of each of them enough to finish all of them, so you’ve been straining at the end of the pattern instead of building from the beginning of it.
Listen, you don’t need to hustle or be over the top to sling your thing. But you do need to move in faith. It’s time, Sis. And if you’ll step into this process and follow Jesus in these six steps, you will find that the launch is already underway. Next stop, consistent sales!
