Can society deplatform God Himself?
In this episode of the Positioned to Prosper podcast we’ll be talking about the current social culture we’re living in, and how it’s affecting the Church’s mission to get the word out about Jesus and His Kingdom in a way that reconciles the hearts of men and women to the heart of God, and trains up believers to be true followers and disciples of the Lord Jesus.
As we watch voices being deplatformed all across social media and other online mediums, and as virtue signaling and cancel culture rule the day, how can we ensure that the Gospel is still given a platform amongst the people? And how do we authentically and powerfully bring the Kingdom to a world that seems, less and less, to want to hear about the absolute truth, freedom and life that is found in Christ?
Church, we have a responsibility to be the platform the God — not social media, not the news or television programming, not even books or podcasts or movies. The people of God are meant to keep God on the “platform” of our hearts at all times, and to share the sound of the Kingdom wherever He sends us. But in order to be successful at being a beacon for Him, there are three very specific things I think we should be doing regularly. We’ll get into those three things inside this episode. So, if you’re ready to lean in, I want you to grab your Bible, your journal and a pen, and . . . Let’s Go!
Scripture References mentioned in this episode:
Matthew 28:19-20 —
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Acts 18:9-11 —
And the Lord said to Paul one night in a vision, “Do not be afraid, but go on speaking and do not be silent, for I am with you, and no one will attack you to harm you, for I have many in this city who are my people.” And he stayed a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them.

One of the most frequent questions I get asked around the podcast is, “Hey, Erica, where is the conversation happening? Where can I go to ask questions or to chat with others around the episodes you’re releasing?”
While I don’t host a podcast-specific discussion group at this time, I do lead and participate in a few different communities where the podcast episode topics are relevant. We discuss episodes in these groups on a regular basis. I want to invite you to check out these different communities to see if one feels like home for you. Then we can get together and discuss all things Positioned to Prosper there!
