#27: Why Your Kingdom Business Keeps Falling Apart Right Before Launch

June 12, 2026

FOR THE KINGDOM WOMAN WHO KEEPS GETTING TO “ALMOST LAUNCHED” AND WATCHING IT FALL APART RIGHT BEFORE THE FINISH LINE.

You had the idea. You felt sure God called you to it. You prayed. You researched. You planned. Then you started building: defining your offer, setting up your social channels, maybe even drafting a sales page.

And every time you got within sight of launch, something cracked.

Maybe the tech broke. Maybe your confidence wobbled. Maybe perfectionism took over. Maybe life just started “life-ing” so hard you had to pause. You told yourself it wasn’t the right season. You’d come back to it later. You’d switch strategies. You’d try again.

But now you’re sitting here. Maybe months later. Maybe years later. Still not launched. And quietly wondering if something is wrong with you.

There isn’t. You’re hitting a wall every single Kingdom builder hits when she tries to build alone with one tool. And in this episode of the Jesus Girl Gang Kingdom Business Podcast, I’m naming the exact pattern that’s been taking you out, and showing you what actually breaks it.

The “Falling Apart Right Before Launch” Pattern

In my mentorship, I work with Kingdom women every single day who share the same story. They feel called. They feel ready. They start moving toward launch. And then, somewhere around 80% or 85% of the way there, something stops them.

It’s not always dramatic. There’s no single moment of catastrophic failure. They just hit a wall, and they can’t quite get past it. Over time, that wall becomes a story: “I keep quitting before I launch.” “It keeps falling apart right before I can get it out.” “I’ve been trying to do this for years.”

The pattern shows up in four predictable forms.

Tech breaks. You signed up for a free email service, a free landing page builder, a free website tool, and now you cannot get them to talk to each other. The free versions of things were never designed to link up and work together seamlessly. They were designed to get you to upgrade. So you stop, because you cannot figure out the tech to get it launched.

Confidence cracks. You start second-guessing the offer. The pricing. Whether anyone will actually buy. The closer you get to launch, the louder the doubt gets.

Perfectionism wins. You decide the page is not quite right. The email sequence is not quite right. The branding is not quite right. You will fix it before you launch. Then next quarter. Then next year.

Life just starts “life-ing.” Something legitimate pulls your focus. A kid gets sick. A family situation flares up. A church season heats up. The launch slides — and never quite gets back on the calendar.

Each time it happens, you blame yourself. What is wrong with me? Maybe I heard God wrong. Maybe I am not cut out for this.

It’s Not a YOU Problem. It’s a Pattern Problem.

This is not a discipline problem. You have been at this for years. You are disciplined enough. This is not a calling problem. The call has not left you. It still will not leave you alone. This is not a smarts problem. You are capable enough. You are educated enough. You are resourceful enough.

This is not even a strategy problem. You have tried plenty of strategies. You have taken courses. You have followed experts. You have adopted other people’s playbooks. None of them stuck.

This is a PATTERN problem.

In last week’s episode (Episode 26), I taught the full four-piece pattern from Exodus 25 — the one God gave Moses to build the tabernacle. The pattern includes four distinct pieces:

  1. A Framework — the step-by-step blueprint of what to build, in what order
  2. A Guide — a coach who can see you in real time and correct your course
  3. A Community — Kingdom women building alongside you, holding you up
  4. Systems — the platform, tools, and technology that hold the whole thing together

When any one of these pieces is missing, you stall. And the place where you stall is right at the edge of launch — because launch is the exact place where all four pieces get tested at once.

Tech breaking needs systems and a guide. Confidence cracking needs the guide and the community. Perfectionism needs the framework and the accountability of others. Life happening needs the community to hold you up so you don’t lose the build entirely.

You have not been failing. You have been building with one tool. And one tool cannot carry a launch.

Janet’s Story: From Years of Stalling to a Launched Pathway

I want to tell you about a Kingdom woman in our community named Janet.

For years, Janet had ideas. She had a clear sense from God about the business she was supposed to build. In her own words: “For years, I’ve had so many great ideas to launch this business, but didn’t take action.”

That is the falling-apart pattern in her own words. Years of ideas. Years of false starts. Years of “next quarter” promises.

Then she came into the room with the full pattern around her. She did the work in the Launch Lab. She got the framework. She got a guide. She got a community of Kingdom women building beside her.

And here is what she said after: “Erica’s AI prompts helped me nail my ultimate offer. I wanted to do them all! And that week of Voxer Coaching Community is 🔥.”

“Now I have a clear offer and pathway. That is giving me confidence and focus to share my business.”

Years of stalling, and the wheels stopped coming off when she stopped trying to build alone. It was not a discipline upgrade or a calling upgrade. It was a pattern upgrade.

When Clarity Comes Through Doing

If you are reading this and thinking, But Erica, I am not sure my idea is even good enough yet. Maybe I should figure THAT out first before I invest in something like a Launch Lab… let me reframe this for you.

Clarity does not come through deliberation. Clarity comes through doing.

Your idea does not get clearer by thinking about it longer or harder. It gets clearer when you sit down and define who you serve and what transformation you deliver. That defining process IS the first real step of your idea validation.

You are not skipping ahead by doing this work. You are doing the very thing that finally tells you whether your idea has legs.

The Bible does not say “stand still and figure it out.” It says “go and make disciples” (Matthew 28:19). It says “be doers of the word, not hearers only” (James 1:22). You will not pray your way into clarity. You will build your way into it — while you pray.

You’re Not in a Pit. You’re on a Plateau.

Here is the reframe I want to leave you with:

You are not stuck in a pit. You are standing on a plateau. Perfectly positioned to go to the next level in Christ Jesus.”

This is a word I heard from the Lord years ago when our church was standing in front of a massive transition and it felt to many of us like we were stuck. I think it may apply for you right now, too. Check it with the Lord.

Listen to me…

You have gone as far as you can go with what you currently have. And now you need tools you do not yet have. A Sherpa who has already made the climb. A community of fellow climbers. The right gear so you don’t fall off the mountain, Sister. The full pattern, not just the calling.

That is not stuckness. That is positioning. You are exactly where you need to be to step into the next level.

Hebrews 11 is the great hall of faith in the Bible. And if you read it carefully, every single name in that chapter is followed by what they DID.

“By faith Abel offered…”

“By faith Noah built…”

“By faith Abraham went…”

Not “by faith Abraham thought really hard about whether he was ready.” Not “by faith Noah deliberated for another six months before he started cutting the gopher wood.”

God does not typically give you the next step of where you are going until you have taken the current one. That is not Him withholding. That is Him refining. That is Him preparing. That is Him providing.

The call was never to figure it out alone. The call was to build. Moses had Aaron and Hur holding his arms up (Exodus 17). Nehemiah had families building the wall sections beside him (Nehemiah 3). Jesus sent the disciples two by two (Mark 6:7). Paul partnered with Priscilla and Aquila (Acts 18).

You were never designed to do this in isolation. The isolation IS part of the problem — not your readiness, not your idea, not your discipline.

The Builder’s Room: Your Last Chance to Get In This Week

If everything in this episode is landing as conviction in your soul, and you’re recognizing your own pattern in what I described, there is a room where you can do something about it THIS WEEK.

It is called The Jesus Girl’s Business Launch Lab, and it kicks off Monday, June 15 at 12pm ET.

Three days live with me on Zoom (June 15-17), plus two bonus sessions and a full week of Voxer group coaching wrapped around the workshop. You walk out with:

  • A defined, validated offer your dream clients can’t ignore
  • A magnetic leads system that pulls perfect-fit customers to you
  • A conversion-ready sales page draft that turns browsers into buyers

The full pattern in one room: framework, guide, community, systems. All four pieces. All week long. The base ticket is $33. Use code SAVE10 at checkout through Sunday night to grab your seat for $23.

I want you to know something. I do not typically give discount codes to the public. I only ever do it for my alumni or someone who has already done a course with me. But after watching some of you open the Launch Lab sales page, close it, open it again, and walk away — I want to help you off the fence.

The code expires Sunday at 11:59pm ET. Doors close on the Lab Monday at 12pm ET when we kick off Day 1. After that, this round is locked until next time.
