#29: 4 Steps to Silence the Doubt and Get Back to Building the Kingdom with Impact Today

July 24, 2026

FOR THE KINGDOM WOMAN WHOSE TO-DO LIST IS ALREADY RUNNING BEFORE HER FEET EVEN HIT THE FLOOR.

Your eyes are not even open yet, and the to-do list is already storming through your mind. The launch you haven’t finished preparing for. Those really important tasks you didn’t get to yesterday. Your kid’s project that didn’t get finished last night. The lunch scheduled for today that you’re not sure you’ll be able to even get to now that you’re so behind.

And underneath all of it, that wave hits: This is too much, I cannot do this, something is going to go wrong today. That wave has a name. It is called foreboding, and it is not a warning from God about the tragedy waiting for you off in the distance. It’s the enemy trying to wear out a Kingdom builder before she even gets out of bed.

In this episode of the Jesus Girl Gang Kingdom Business Podcast, I’m walking you through the four steps I use every single morning to shut that deluge of lies down before it convinces me to quit on the day, so I can actually get up and build – with clarity and power – what God called me to build.

Why You Feel This Way Before Your Day Even Starts

There are five pillars of purpose God built into every Kingdom woman (YOU included!). Look at Proverbs 31:10-31 and you’ll find her: a godly daughter, a godly wife, a godly mother, a godly sister-friend, and a godly entrepreneur. All five, active in one woman.

You can also find her in the New Testament in Luke 8:1-3, where the women traveling with Jesus provided for His ministry out of their own substance. Godly daughter, godly wife, godly mother, godly sister-friend, godly entrepreneur. Same five pillars, different season of Kingdom building.

This pattern of building impactful women hasn’t changed since the beginning of time. God made you multifaceted, multi-passionate, and multi-able on purpose. But here’s what can happen…

You wake up with tasks waiting in every single pillar, and your brain starts running the math. Which starts running the doubt through your mind: There is too much here. Something is going to break. And this spiral has a name: foreboding.

Foreboding is your brain assigning a bad outcome to a thought, based on a pattern it has seen before. Your brain is wired to look for patterns and assign meaning quickly, because its primary job is to keep you safe. If something similar happened badly before, your brain will flag the current situation as dangerous too, whether or not it actually is.

Here is what you need to know: You do not have five purposes. You have ONE purpose in Christ, lived out across five pillars. You are not required to major in every pillar every single day.

God is not asking you to be firing on all cylinders in your business, your marriage, your motherhood, and your friendships all at once, all perfectly, every morning. That expectation is not coming from Him.

So where is it coming from?

The Enemy’s Actual Strategy Against You

Daniel 7:25 describes how the enemy operates in the end times, and Scripture says he tries to change the times and the seasons. When he cannot successfully do that, here is his fallback: He seeks to wear out the saints.

If you are following Jesus and you are building something for the Kingdom, you are a saint. And if the enemy cannot stop your assignment outright, his strategy shifts to exhaustion.

He is not attacking your multifaceted design. He is not attacking the fact that God gave you a business, a family, and a calling all at once. Those things belong together. What he is attacking is your capacity to carry them without collapsing under a false sense of overwhelm.

This is the piece worth sitting with. If God gave you something to build, He also gave you what you need on the inside of you to build it. The overwhelm that greets you the moment you wake up is not proof the assignment is too big. It is proof the enemy has a strategy, and that strategy is to wear you out before you even start.

Zechariah 4:6 settles this: not by might, not by power, but by His Spirit. You were never meant to build this in your own strength. That was always the plan.

The 4 Steps to Silence the Doubt

Before we get to the steps, tuck this scripture somewhere you will not lose it: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” – Proverbs 3:5-6

This is the core scripture underneath everything that follows. When you wake up and the foreboding hits, here are the four steps you’re going to want to follow:

Step 1: Remember. The first move is to remember that all things are possible with God (Matthew 19:26). Before you let the enemy spiral you into “this is going to be a terrible day, there is too much for me to handle,” stop and remember this truth first. This is the mind of Christ interrupting the fear response before it takes hold.

Step 2: Think. The second step is what you actively meditate on. Joshua 1:8 tells us not to let the book of the law depart from our mouth, but to meditate on it day and night, because that is what keeps us grounded.

Philippians 4:13 becomes your active thought: I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Not some things. All things. Everything God has called you to across your five pillars, He has also equipped you to carry.

Step 3: Say. This is where you speak to the situation directly. You look at the circumstance that feels impossible, and instead of only naming what is wrong, you declare what is good and what is possible. Romans 8:28 backs this up: God works all things together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.

That does not mean everything will feel good in the moment. Joseph did not feel like all things were working together for good while he sat in prison. But he believed it, and so can you. This is a curiosity mindset set in faith, choosing to wonder what good could come rather than what bad is coming.

Step 4: Trust. Finally, you put your trust in God, exactly as Proverbs 3:5-6 says. Lean not on your own understanding. The enemy is going to try to wear you out again tomorrow, and probably again after that. When he does, you do not need a new strategy. You just do the four steps again: Remember. Think. Say. Trust. Then you move

What Happens When Foreboding Comes Back

It will come back. That is not a sign you failed at this process. God works through process, not through instant fixes, because process is what refines your character and builds discipline into you.

The miracle already happened the moment you woke up this morning with the Holy Spirit inside you, giving you the ability to walk these four steps out. Everything after that is a choice you make daily, sometimes hour by hour.

Any time the doubt hits again, whether it is five minutes later or five hours later, you go back to the top: Remember. Think. Say. Trust. Then move. You build your life around this rhythm, not around achieving a version of yourself who never feels the wave again.

So What Do You Do With This?

If you have been waking up overwhelmed before your business day has even started, here is the truth. You are not broken, and you are not failing at your calling. You are carrying five real pillars of purpose, and the enemy’s strategy is to convince you that carrying them means you are falling apart. He is trying to wear you out so you quietly step away from what God put in your hands.

Do not let him win that morning fight: Remember. Think. Say. Trust. Then move.
