Is there such a thing as “right place” and “right time” when it comes to breakthrough?
Do you think you have to position yourself when it comes to seeing the promises of God come to pass? Is it all up to you to find the exact right place and right time to access the provision of God? And if so, how do you figure those things out?
Do you realize how much we actually think about these questions, even if we’re not talking about them out loud? It’s human nature to wonder — “Did I do something wrong? Is that why this breakthrough isn’t happening? Should I have not done something? What do I need to do so I can get things moving?” We’ve all thought these things when we’ve felt stuck or delayed, right?
The (Biblical) truth is, being positioned for breakthrough is a joint venture between us and God. There are some things that only He can do, and then there are some things that we must do to find ourselves at the right place, at the right time, with the right heart, ready to receive. Are you ready to learn what these things are? If so, grab your Bible, your journal and a pen, and let’s jump into this episode!

Scripture References Mentioned in This Episode:
John 15:4-5 —
Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.
Isaiah 60:22 —
When the time is right, I the Lord will make it happen.
John 2:4-5 —
And Jesus said to her, “Woman, what does this have to do with me? My hour has not yet come.” His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.”
1 Samuel 15:22 —
But Samuel replied: “Does the LORD delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the LORD? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams.
John 6:28-29 —
Then they said to him, “What must we do, to be doing the works of God?” Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.”
Isaiah 30:1-3 —
“Ah, stubborn children,” declares the Lord,
“who carry out a plan, but not mine,
and who make an alliance,[a] but not of my Spirit,
that they may add sin to sin;
who set out to go down to Egypt,
without asking for my direction,
to take refuge in the protection of Pharaoh
and to seek shelter in the shadow of Egypt!
Therefore shall the protection of Pharaoh turn to your shame,
and the shelter in the shadow of Egypt to your humiliation.
Isaiah 30:15 —
For thus said the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel,
“In returning and rest you shall be saved;
in quietness and in trust shall be your strength.”
But you were unwilling…
Isaiah 30:18-25 —
Therefore the Lord waits to be gracious to you,
and therefore he exalts himself to show mercy to you.
For the Lord is a God of justice;
blessed are all those who wait for him.
For a people shall dwell in Zion, in Jerusalem; you shall weep no more. He will surely be gracious to you at the sound of your cry. As soon as he hears it, he answers you. And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, yet your Teacher will not hide himself anymore, but your eyes shall see your Teacher. And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left. Then you will defile your carved idols overlaid with silver and your gold-plated metal images. You will scatter them as unclean things. You will say to them, “Be gone!”
And he will give rain for the seed with which you sow the ground, and bread, the produce of the ground, which will be rich and plenteous. In that day your livestock will graze in large pastures, and the oxen and the donkeys that work the ground will eat seasoned fodder, which has been winnowed with shovel and fork. And on every lofty mountain and every high hill there will be brooks running with water…
