What’s your “position” on the whole pre-tribulation/post-tribulation rapture timeline?
For many years, my husband and I were firmly set on the pre-tribulation rapture theory. We’d had a number of conversations about it, had looked at some scriptures concerning it, and had settled into a certain understanding. And then, last summer, as I drove over to Orlando for a bit of a break, an unsettling and persistent question came to me: Do you *really* believe the rapture happens pre-tribulation? I knew the question wasn’t just something my bored, driving brain was coming up with. No, I felt it. It was coming from the Lord.
And so, as I normally do when the Lord asks me a question, I assumed the answer wasn’t a simple yes or no. I took a page from the prophet, Ezekiel, and responded, “Only you know the truth, Lord. So what do I need to know? And what should I believe?” What He then showed me changed everything. I am now, firmly, on the post-tribulation rapture wagon, and I’m sharing all about the journey to getting there on this week’s episode.
The Lord showed me two very major things as a result of revealing this post-tribulation rapture understanding to me, and the first one — that believers can have a very different experience than non/pre-believers, even in the midst of corporate/cultural calamity and turmoil — is what I’ll be unpacking for much of this episode (the second “major thing” I’ll get to in a future episode). As believers, we are *blessed* to know a different experience because of Jesus, and there’s a reason for why we need to have this different experience right in the midst of tribulation — in front of non/pre-believers. We’re going to dig into that “why” during this episode.
