Are you in a wilderness season right now?
When you find yourself in a “wilderness season,” what do you think that means? What does it mean about you? About God? About your circumstances or the people around you? What does experiencing a wilderness season mean to your future and your ability to reach your dreams?
According to many of the women I’ve spoken with over the last few years about experiencing a wilderness season, most have said things like — “Something must be wrong with me or how I’m doing things. I must be out of order. Or maybe it’s that I just can’t hear God. Maybe I did something wrong and that’s why I can’t hear him! Or I’m not trying hard enough? Oh, this is bad! I can’t figure this out. I keep trying to find a way out of here, but I keep finding myself right back at this same spot. Maybe I’ll never get out. Maybe this is the best it’ll ever be. Maybe I should just decide to settle right here. Yeah, it’s whatever.” Do you hear yourself anywhere in this thought progression?
Here’s the truth: God has placed purpose right in the midst of a wilderness season. And just as the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the wilderness, there are times when He will lead you into a wilderness season, just the same. But if you do not know that there is purpose and development and upgrade there for you in that seemingly dry place, you’ll start to doubt. And then you’ll try to figure out how to escape a thing that God has designed to prosper you in the end. All the while, spinning your wheels, stressing out and then burning out. But that’s not your portion.
In this episode of the Positioned to Prosper podcast, I’m going to be sharing with you the telltale signs of being “stuck” in a wilderness season for too long, what the purpose of the wilderness season is, the three phases you’ll go through in this season, the upgrades available to you in each, how to navigate each phase to get the most out of them, and — ultimately — how to trust God to lead you to the exit door at just the right time, so you can come out in power. Just like Jesus did!
Are you ready to jump into this? I truly believe this twenty minutes could change your life if you came to the table hungry. So grab your Bible, your journal and a pen, and . . . Let’s Go!
The Wilderness Study starts Monday, October 3rd. Want to join us? For more details and to register, head over to jesusgirlgang.com/WildernessStudy.

Luke 4:1-15
And Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit in the wilderness 2 for forty days, being tempted by the devil. And he ate nothing during those days. And when they were ended, he was hungry. 3 The devil said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command this stone to become bread.” 4 And Jesus answered him, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone.’” 5 And the devil took him up and showed him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time, 6 and said to him, “To you I will give all this authority and their glory, for it has been delivered to me, and I give it to whom I will. 7 If you, then, will worship me, it will all be yours.” 8 And Jesus answered him, “It is written,
“‘You shall worship the Lord your God,
and him only shall you serve.’”
9 And he took him to Jerusalem and set him on the pinnacle of the temple and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down from here, 10 for it is written,
“‘He will command his angels concerning you,
to guard you,’
11 and
“‘On their hands they will bear you up,
lest you strike your foot against a stone.’”
12 And Jesus answered him, “It is said, ‘You shall not put the Lord your God to the test.’” 13 And when the devil had ended every temptation, he departed from him until an opportune time.
14 And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and a report about him went out through all the surrounding country. 15 And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified by all.
