There are two things keeping you out of Biblical health territory — and they aren’t your self-discipline or the diet plan you’re following.
Seven years ago I heard the Lord tell me to get my certificate in holistic health coaching. It wasn’t so I could start a one-on-one health coaching practice (or even so I could pull myself out of a health relapse nose dive I was dealing with at the time). Nope, He told me to spend the time in prayer and Holy Spirit-led learning so I could teach His Church how to live long enough and strong enough to do and be all they were created for. He said this thing to me —
“Erica, my Church is meant to be the healthiest Body on the face of the planet. With everything I’ve made available to them — my Word, the blood of my Son, the Holy Spirit to teach them and guide them, my grace — they should be having a very different experience when it comes to their health and healing.“
I was completely convicted and set on mission. And over the last seven years I’ve crafted a number of different faith-based “stewarding health well” programs that have helped folks to align their lifestyle with the Bible, to see vibrancy and stability come to their health. They’ve learned to build a resilient life according to the truth found in God’s word, and they’ve received tremendous healing along the way.
But there tend to be two specific roadblocks I see folks struggle with on the journey to stewarding health well, and on this week’s episode of the Positioned to Prosper podcast I’m putting them on blast. If we can see these roadblocks, identify them, and exchange them in Christ for something better, we can continue on the journey to Biblical health. So are you ready to learn what those two roadblocks are and if they’ve been standing in your way? Are you ready to bust through these barriers to step into vibrant and robust health to live long enough and strong enough so you can do and be all God created you for? If so, grab your Bible, your journal and a pen, and . . . Let’s Go!

Scripture References Mentioned in This Episode:
Matthew 9:27-30
And as Jesus passed on from there, two blind men followed him, crying aloud, “Have mercy on us, Son of David.” When he entered the house, the blind men came to him, and Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They said to him, “Yes, Lord.” Then he touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith be it done to you.” And their eyes were opened.
Joshua 1:6-8
Be strong and courageous, for you shall cause this people to inherit the land that I swore to their fathers to give them. Only be strong and very courageous, being careful to do according to all the law that Moses my servant commanded you. Do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may have good success wherever you go. This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
2 Corinthians 5:7
For we walk by faith, not by sight.
Jeremiah 23:23-29
“Am I a God at hand, declares the Lord, and not a God far away? Can a man hide himself in secret places so that I cannot see him? declares the Lord. Do I not fill heaven and earth? declares the Lord. I have heard what the prophets have said who prophesy lies in my name, saying, ‘I have dreamed, I have dreamed!’ How long shall there be lies in the heart of the prophets who prophesy lies, and who prophesy the deceit of their own heart, who think to make my people forget my name by their dreams that they tell one another, even as their fathers forgot my name for Baal? Let the prophet who has a dream tell the dream, but let him who has my word speak my word faithfully. What has straw in common with wheat? declares the Lord. Is not my word like fire, declares the Lord, and like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?”
