I honestly believe God uses triggers for our good. Stick with me for a sec . . .

We live in a culture where triggers, trauma processing, dissociation and nervous system dysregulation are buzz phrases we hear regularly in everyday conversation. We definitely see them posted about all the time in our social media feeds with the seemingly required “Trigger Warning” advisory right at the top. But what if triggers can be a good thing? What if God can use them to help you release the pain of the past and bring you through real healing to a better place?

On this episode of the Positioned to Prosper podcast, I’m going there when it comes to real discipleship relationships and how God seems to “use” triggering situations inside these relationships to help us to heal and to grow. I’ll share the Biblical basis for this perspective, and then I’ll relay some “boots on the ground” examples from discipleship experiences within our own church family.
