But seriously . . . why are we always those people who think we need to figure it out, clean it up, get it done all on our own?
When I was little, I marveled at how my mom could do a full grocery shop for a family of five and then come home and grab every single bag out of the car, at once, and carry it into the house . . . in one trip! I aspired to be like her.
It wasn’t until I was in my twenties and did her little “grocery grab” trick in front of her that I found out the real reason for her “do it all on my own” approach — her requests for help were minimized or ignored for so long that she finally stopped asking for it. She learned to carry heavy things all by herself in one trip because she knew she was going to have to do it alone anyway, so she might as well make it quick. Are you crying right now, too?
On this episode of the Positioned to Prosper podcast we’re getting into the reasons for why we insist on doing hard and heavy things alone, even though we’re not designed for it. There are some lies and fears we need to exchange for truth today, my friend! If you’re ready to make the exchange and get back to the kind of “let’s go together” lifestyle He created us for, go grab your Bible, your journal and a pen, and . . . Let’s Go!

Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up!
James 5:16
Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.
Galatians 6:2
Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
